I had the pleasure of photographing the lead actors of Bring It On: Worldwide #Cheersmack, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, for the August 2017 issue of Inside Cheerleading.
The shoot was held at Millennium Dance Complex in Hollywood. The issue hit stands before the film became available and served as a sneak peek into the film, so the challenge was to photograph the actors without giving too much away. Although the film itself is competitive in nature, there was a general camaraderie between the actors on set. They got on really well, so it was a relatively easy task. We played up the relationships and dynamics between their characters, while also showcasing a bit of their own personalities, keeping it fun and light.
Inside Dance also ran a shorter feature about the dance portions of Bring It On in their September issue. It was nice to see the images and story get additional life.
