I had the pleasure of photographing Greek women's wear designer, Michail Sykianakis, in his West Hollywood studio for the March / April 2015 issue of West Hollywood Magazine. Upon meeting Michail, he immediately wanted to know how much Greek I spoke. Sadly, I informed him that I spoke very little, and understood even less. Fortunately this did not deter him. He welcomed me openly, moving excitedly about his studio speaking of Greece, New York, his passion for design, and his aspirations for the future of his collection in what has to be one of the most beautiful accents I have ever heard. His passion and excitement were infections and the dresses were absolutely gorgeous. I wanted to try on every single one of them !

The image was captured using the Leica S with Fashion Editor Bruno Lima and Creative Director Matthew Morgan on set to set the tone and direction for the shoot. You can check out the digital version of the issue here.
